Use body language correctly during the lecture
Presenting does not just count what you say, but also how you say it. On what you should pay attention to posture, gestures and facial expressions.
Many presenters are afraid of embarrassing themselves in their presentation. However, with the proper use of body language, they appear self-assured and receive the public's attention as a positive consequence. The following aspects of body language are particularly important.

Stand upright and straight

Always take an upright position when speaking. Even if it may be comfortable for you, do not shift your weight too much on the foothold. The more you load the pillar, the farther you will stretch your leg. They buckle in the hip, which could leave a too casual impression. Therefore, stand upright and straight and distribute the body weight evenly on both legs.

Spread your legs shoulder width apart

Place your legs about shoulder width apart. So you not only appear larger, but also radiate inner peace and professional competence. A competent and serious charisma is the basis for a successful presentation. On the other hand, if you pull your shoulders forward and stand slumped, you will not only look smaller but less competent. Even a nervous forward and back rocking with the upper body is unfavorable.

Illustrate presentation with hands

Out of uncertainty, many presenters unconsciously seek support and hide their hands in their trouser pockets throughout the lecture. Instead, use your hands to illustrate your presentation and clarify the facts. Let your movements come out of your shoulder. As a starting position, it is advisable to bend your arms and bring your hands together at the belly button height. Keep your elbows and torso away when gesturing. So you take more space and appear more confident.

Activate the audience with gesticulating movements

But you can also put one palm lightly in front of the other and return gesturing again and again in this attitude and let your hands rest together in a sovereign manner. However, fold your arms in front of your chest or keep your hands in your pockets, unconsciously build up a barrier and appear uninvolved. Through active gestures you show yourself open-minded and confident. In addition, movements activate the brain of the audience, which attracts your attention.

To finish key messages with eye contact to the audience

Keep your head as steady as possible while speaking. When you go up with your voice and chin at the end of a sentence, you are telling your audience that they have asked a question. Instead, lead core messages specifically to a concise conclusion. At the end of a sentence, lower your chin slightly while keeping eye contact with your audience. It adds more weight to your message, and viewers believe you are more believable.

Avoid constant running back and forth

In your presentation, you should take an upright posture and stand firmly on the ground with both legs. But that does not mean that you only have to stop at a fixed point. They are allowed to move too. But you should not constantly go back and forth. This makes your audience nervous and affects its attention.

Give intentions to movements

Instead, give intent and meaning to your movements. Only move to another point if it makes sense. For example, if you want to clarify certain content from another point of view. You can also ask a question and move towards your audience. So stay dynamic and involve your audience at the same time.

Make eye contact with the audience

In general, you should always be in a visual exchange with your audience during your lectures. There are various possiblities for that.
If you feel confident enough, let your gaze glide from face to face. With it you engage every listener and communicate openness.
If you are afraid to speak in front of a group, focus on seeing only one person at a time. This will give you the feeling of only speaking to one person and becoming more self-confident. Also the respective person will feel addressed and follows rather your words. But always be open-minded and look your audience in the eyes while presenting. With this you integrate every single listener.
